All Hallows' Eve

This year's Halloween was a bit more relaxed, but still really fun! I am sad to say that our ferret's were not the Chipmunks this year. I was so busy with flower orders and visiting friends that I just simply didn't have time. BUT I did manage to make some quick last minute costumes. Knuckles and Kirby were both Bats, and Yoshi was a Ghost. They turned out so cute!!!! Steve was a Nerd and a pretty cute one :) I finally got to wear my Dark Fairy costume, and I loved it! My makeup, eyelashes and tights made me so happy!! The day wasn't even over and I already knew what I was going to be next year, haha.
So, our evening was pretty chill... I took dinner to my parents and got a picture with Brandon in his costume. The silly boy LEFT his costume at school!!!!! He had to pull out last years and ended up being a Medieval Knight, again. Afterwards Steve and I headed over to the Goates. Teresa and Jon had themed costumes and they were pretty cute. T was The Cat in the Hat and J was the boy Conrad! Mom and Dad Goates put on their scary face masks while we chatted with Rick and Aubery on Skype, but Aubrey wasn't really scared of them. (Lame!) Jenell themed the kids costumes this year and they were the Princess and the Frog! How cute! After chatting with Rick for a while we put in our SCARY movie! This year we watched The Haunting in Connecticut, which none of us had ever seen. It was so FREAKY!!! I haven't screamed out loud in a long time! (Poor throat was sore afterwards.) Thanks Mom and Dad Goates for hosting a great evening!
I hope that you all had a Happy Halloween!

Double Whammy

I will get straight to the point because I am too tired to ramble on. I was diagnosed with TWO totally opposite health issues today! I thought I had Swine Flu so I went in to get myself checked. Turns out I have a bad Urinary Infection AND that dumb Coxsackie Virus!!! Yes, I know I just got over it in July, but you can have it more than once and sadly it thinks my body is just so fun to hang out in. My body aches all over and my lower back and abdomen are in a world of hurt along with a fever, sore throat and much more. SO, here's to hoping that this will all pass quickly and that I never have the two of them together, ever again!

Crazy Corn Maze '09

This weekend we went to the Crazy Corn Maze, as this is the Goates Fall/Halloween tradition! I think that this year was definitely the best for Steve and I. Before we started out on our quest Steve bought everyone glow wands and swords! This made our adventure that much more fun! We enjoyed fighting and flying around with them, and they really lit the way. We found all the posts without a problem and answered all the quiz questions correctly! Booya! (We all got a free bowling ticket out of it which was saweet!) Because we found the posts in record time, we decided that we wanted to stay in the corn maze longer and we all voted that we should go 'get lost'. Most people don't like getting lost in the corn maze, but we decided to go against it. A few minutes into it, we changed our minds and decided that we would rather have some ice cream, so it was off to Leatherby's we went! (WARNING... Do not go to the Leatherby's in Midvale. It's stinky and all the ice cream is freezer burnt.)
Thanks Mom and Dad Goates for a great evening!

Happy Birthday Lover Boy!

Today Steve turned the BIG 26! (It's not that big, but anything over 25 is old. Hahaha) His day was pretty awesome because I let him call all the shots. He wanted pot roast for dinner, so I bought the biggest roast I have ever purchased! I let it cook for 10 hours people!!!! It basically melted in your mouth. He wanted a white cake so he got a Funfetti cake with cream cheese frosting... Yum. Oh, and he got a cake at work too! It had creepy clowns on it, but Steve said it was pretty good. (But not better than mine. Haha) Steve also requested that he get to play his new video game with Dan that he bought him. I thought to myself, he's having fun and that's all that matters on your birthday. Right? :) For Steve's present he wanted a new motherboard, so when he finds one he likes, it's his! Oh, and I made (partially) the best birthday card to date! The front of the card has little hamsters on it, so I decided to make some of them ferrets. I pasted our ferret's faces on some of the bodies and it turned out way CUTE! You open the card and it sings the 'Hamster Dance' which is quite catchy. Overall, it was a pretty chill birthday and He enjoyed it all!
I love you Steve, Happy Birthday!

{Steve decided to let the candle burn all the way down... It took longer than it should have}

Tinker Belle's Evil Sister?

So, I have decided what I am going to be for Halloween this year! Drum roll please... An 'Evil Fairy'!!! Hahaha, I feel like only girls in High School do this, but who cares.. It's Halloween! I borrowed this costume from my sister, and wouldn't you know... It fits like a glove :) Thanks Giggy! I won't look as slutty as the girl in the picture because I plan on finding a shirt of some sort to go underneath. Anywho, I am way excited because my make up and hair are going to look freaking amazing!
Steve decided that he didn't want to dress up this year (party pooper), but I think that I can convince him into something super simple :) Our little ferret friends are going to have some pretty awesome costumes and I am so excited! Can you say Alvin and the Chipmunks!!!??? I have assigned each of them their character; Knuckles will be Simone, Kirby will be Theodore, and Yoshi will be Alvin! Maybe I can convince Steve to be Dave!!!! (That would be so awesome!)
I hope that you are all dressing up this year! I love Halloween!

{I am going to do purple fishnets!}

{I love the Chipmunks... This is going to be so fun!}

Yo-Yo Love

Haven't you heard??? Yo-Yo's are making a come baby!!! I wanted to make a simple flower, and thought of a Yo-Yo, and thought of Ralph Lauren and BANG... My vintage inspired 'flower' was born :) I love it and now I want one in Navy Blue! It was super easy to make and my fabric was 'left overs' from school! Enjoy!

{It's Ralph Lauren chic inspired! *heart*}
